"Bazza"

Posted by Sash (Adelaide, Australia) on 30 April 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

This is the second photo from my 'Strangers' series where I ask complete strangers to pose for me. Why do I do this? To meet people that I find interesting and to give me a reason to photograph something other than inanimate objects. Why do I ask myself questions that I already know the answer to and then type them on the net for all to read? Because without rhetorical questions there'd only be questions and who wants that?

For more images from this series click on the word 'strangers' to the right of this image. As if by magic, every image bearing the word 'strangers' will then appear in thumbnail form. I thank the creators of this glorious community for that. If you're like me and can't be bothered doing things the hard way, as described in the previous sentence, and think that reading this far into the blurb has been too much effort that deserves some form of reward, and you were willing to go back to trawling for porn prior to having this experience, then click HERE. No, there's no porn, but let it never be said that I don't reward those who have the ability to read.

Feel free to critique at will. For the record, this is NOT a candid photo; I asked Bazza for permission, had a chat and then shot him...several times. The alcoholic beverage in his hand was his own idea (prior to the shoot) and I thought it would be a fitting touch to include it in the photo.
