Leanne & Adam's Wedding 5

Here's the last in the current series (for now) as I've had the rare opportunity to get out of the house in the past few days and want to share some of the photos I've managed to take during that time. I'll be posting random images from said extravaganza over an indefinite period (translation: until I get bored of those, too).

I'm off to do a pre-dawn long-exposure and HDR shoot with my mate Dachimas on Wednesday. No doubt those photos will also crop up somewhere on this site in the not too distant future.

Thanks to everyone who has commented on the Wedding series. With your suggestions and recommendations I have no doubt that I am now fully equipped to charge twice as much the next time I'm asked to photograph someone's momentous day. ;p

great shot - got the personality, bride and groom in sharp focus, and the background is still readable just soft enough to isolate the married couple. Well done.

@Bill Jennings: Thanks Bill. I wasn't completely elated about the light coloured background when I saw the final product, but I am pleased about capturing the spontaneity of the moment.

@Heather J. Woodland: Thank you. I appreciate the positive feedback. I had to scramble to get into position as I hadn't been aware of cue to signify the end of the ceremony. They're gorgeous, aren't they? :)

Have you heard of Trash the Dress wedding photography Sash? I know they do have some quarry locations (sorry!) and many other unusual locations for shooting photos. You're an excellent photographer and if you're moving into wedding shoots, perhaps it is something you could think about offering for the more adventurous nuptials. @Organik Mum: Ahh... I had a feeling there wasn't much hope in thinking there was even an iota of originality in what I did with the quarry shot(s). That's photography for you-there are no more unknowns, just interpretations of what has already been done. Still, as far as my subjects were concerned they enjoyed themselves immensely, albeit tentatively at first. Thanks for your comment and link to TTD. Photography, and wedding photography in particular, is a learning curve for me. I'd like to think that I'll improve what I do the more I do it, so it's always helpful to find inspiration from elsewhere. Cheers again.

@Laurie: Thanks Laurie. I think I'm a bigger fan of the candid moments I was able to photograph than the posed ones, although I'm sure with more experience and control over how much time is available to get the job done (well) will sway the balance somewhat in the future. Here's hoping. :)

Absolutely wonderful moment captured.
A perfect amount of her dress showing to show off all her jewelry and crown.
And the on lookers softened enough to tell the wonderful story.

@sheye: Thanks Sheye. Leanne (the bride) was actually wiping the lipstick off Adam's (the groom) cheek and mouth when this photo was taken. The lady you can see in the background is Leanne's birth mother, and although the composition isn't 100% I think it's still a component of the photo that appeals to the couple. They really liked the candid moments overall so I'm happy about that.
