...filters again
Help yourself to the blue cheese, but stay away from the green one.
It's a good image mate, cool color and nice silhouette of the tree.

This is gorgeous mate. Is it a polarizing filter? Gotta explore filters and start shamelessly plagiarizing your work.

@Stu: Yeah, it is. Actually, it's a polarizing filter + an FL-W filter, which is supposed to be for indoor/fluoro lighting shots. It's the latter that gives it the purple tinge. Me being me (proud to be a renegade), I find the latter rather saucy to use during those brief times pre and post the golden hours, when light is barely present or merely moments away from fading to black, as it creates a surreal dimension to an otherwise familiar light that borders on the sublime.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but I've already posted several photos - the Marino Magic series and the series of images of a salt lake on Kangaroo Island - of sunrise and sunset shots that I find utterly breathtaking (as opposed to simply breathtaking).
Thanks for stopping by. You have my blessing to plagiarize my work as often as you like. I'll forward to you my bank details ASAP. ;)
beautiful colors in the sky.

The filter has sure imparted an unsettling look to this one and those trees look rather wicked, too! Strong stuff.
