Hello and hi. I've been overwhelmed by the workload of late which is why my heartfelt appreciation goes out to those of you who have checked back to see if I had uploaded anything noteworthy in the past month or few. My sincere apologies for being incommunicado.
This photo was taken at Mundoo Channel, South Australia, prior to one of the first few sunrises this year. It forms the first image of this series. As always, your critique and admiration is welcomed with bated breath.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to have more of these breathtaking surroundings to show you soon.

PS Also check out Dachimas' photos and Stu's photos as they're great friends of mine and each have fabulous images to share.
Help yourself to the blue cheese, but stay away from the green one.
Extremely well done, as well as all your other images.

MOST happy to see the prodigal return...
It is a most beautiful image, Sash! I love that grad filter you use. That sky just looks like it goes on forever.

@amy: Thanks, Aimster. This was the subtle and humble beginning of what turned out to be a sea of colour (pun intended). Please come back and check out the next two (but remember to wear your shades, otherwise your health insurance might go through the roof).
PS I'll be posting comments again really soon. :)

@Laurie: Thank you, Laurie. I appreciate those words of analysis as I think they're fitting. I'll be posting another few images of this series in the next couple of days. And I promise I'll swing by your site to take a look and comment.
Beautiful, Sash. Simply a top-notch post. You'll have to give me some info on the lens you're using, as 17mm is beyond the basic kit I'm using.
Thanks, belatedly, for getting me into the photoblogging thing in the first place that drunken night 4 years ago in my shoebox in Kyoto. Without you, Life Through A Lens would not have been possible.
