This is the third photo in this currrent series.
The reasoning behind this photo being the way it is goes a little something like this...I wanted the emphasis to be on the foreground whilst retaining some of that artificial glamour in the recesses of the background. The slight adjustment of filter location (I use the Cokin filter system which is about as easy as imbibing beer on a summer's day) enabled the final result to become that sought after photographic incarnation of Michael 'Mojo Sinking' Jackson and Sir Paul 'Yo Mac' McCartney's Ebony & Ivory.
If you have any thoughts about this image, or any of the others for that matter, I'd love to hear from you. Give me a call on 1-800-NAGSASHMAN but don't ring if the van's bouncing.
Thanks for visiting. Come again.
Please check out the description on the first photo for a description of the where, when, why and wherefore.
Help yourself to the blue cheese, but stay away from the green one.
Another beautiful landscape! Compliments

Your series of three (so far) is ASTOUNDING. I used to have a Cokin filter system w/my old SLR and loved it. I need to look into them for the DSLR.

@Judy: Thanks Judy. You don't need me to tell you how fabulous the Cokin system is, and how much freedom it enables the user. A good friend of mine (also an amateur photographer) takes fabulous longer exposures of beach settings using the same filter system; the waves result in a surreal smoke-like effect that's hard to top. Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate the visit and shall endeavour to do the same. :)
wow!

These are amazing! I've admiring... At first, I thought they were HDR images...really nice! =-)

@Laurie: Thanks Laurie. I know you're fond of HDR images, so I take that as a true compliment. Unfortunately (for me) I don't have the skills to play around too much after the event. Getting it in-camera is about as fancy as it gets for now but I'm always willing to learn and adapt to more fanciful variation. Thanks for this and many other comments in recent times. I'll do my best to have a quick look at what you've been up to (as soon as work deems it possible). :D
Absolutely beautiful shot. Love the colors and the detail in the rocks.

The nuances of light and how it changes each of these images is really astounding when you look at all of them in sequence. I'm still gobsmacked...
