@Laurie: Thanks, Laurie. I'm pleased to be able to share some of my country's natural beauty with fellow nature lovers. I had to climb a barbed wire fence to capture this. At least it wasn't electrified (or armed to the teeth with border patrol guards). Three cheers for freedom!!! (Oh, wait...I see you're from the US: Sorry dude, it's nothing personal, you understand.)

I'm a fan of lens filters, I like mixing various 'grads' and see what happens, so its nice to see that someone else also bothers to lug a load of extra kit around too.

@Richard_Irwin: Well, I don't carry a beast of a camera around so a few filters tucked into my g-tring doesn't exactly bring a great deal of discomfort to the package. I've only recently got onto a couple of grads and love the possibilities they present. What type of filters do you use? More importantly, what type of filters can you recommend?

For the record, 'extra kit' is a euphemism for a packed lunch, right? ;)

Definitely need a tutorial from you - and a loan so I can go and buy some! Recommendations and donations welcome...

Re our chat: our erstwhile previous/current employer released it's financial report on Friday. As expected, it was an absolute bloodbath of monolithic proportions. Yet somehow the Titanic refuses to sink below the waves! Go figure....
