All the usual stuff: STUNNING, SPECTACULAR, AMAZING blah blah blah.. don't you ever get bored with taking such incredibly beautiful images? LOL It really is eye popping FABulous! Did you do this as a studio shot (black background?) or lucked out with this outside? I actually like how the tips of some of the petals are blown out a bit... it denotes to me a reaching to the sky and sun... yeah, I'm weird.. LOL

@amy: 1. Nope, I never get bored. Nature amazes me every day. 2 (a). I've never done a studio shot. I don't think I'd ever do a studio shot with flowers as it defies the very reason why I love taking nature shots - it's outdoors! 2 (b). Got lucky mostly, then adjusted the contrast (indoors). 3. Yeah, you are weird, and I'm totally okay with that as long as you don't suddenly appear at my front door brandishing a chainsaw and an ice hockey mask. ;p

@Polly: Thanks Polly. Yellow on black has always done wonders for my eyes. Maybe the sharpness of the petals and slight moisture glistening from the sun adds to the popping uber-colour factor. What do you reckon? Thanks for stoppping by and leaving a comment.

VEry nice! Hmm.. I especially like the black background. More details how you did it? It's just so black... very studio like. Expose it at -1 stop?

@Wen C. Yap: The darkness is a shed that was right behind the flower. I darkened it in PS. I honestly can't remember the F-stop setting as I took this about two years ago in Japan. Thanks for your enquiry. Sory about the vagueness of my response. :(
