One giant leap

@Ming Img: Not much processing here, Ming. It's mostly a filter with slight adjustment to contrast. I agree with it looking somewhat like a war image. It looks like the after effects of an invasion (or something like that). :)

@Nigel: It was a tad muddy mate. Believe me, I wanted to be closer. In factamundo, I wanted to take a macro of the eye socket with the sunrise peeking through. Denied!

@amy: I actually took a torch with me the other morning. A garbage bag sounds like too much effort. Sheesh! What next: gloves; ear muffs; MP3 player; a thermos flask; a hip flask; a packed lunch (Hmmm...)? Nah, I've already decreed by voice and in writing that I'm investing ten bucks in gumboots. That way I can be the educated hick I've always dreamt of being. All I needs me iz a banjo, a dog named Skeeter and a copy of The Tempest.

I discovered the other day that the filter I used for this was designed to neutralise the green tinge from fluorescent lights. It never occured to me that fluorescent lights emitted a green tinge, which is why I have never used it for that as I believe it works much better on the sky at dawn. On that note, I'm posting a few photos in a few days of two sunrises where I used NEW filters. *shakes ass* Jaw popping stuff.

Sashmo Au.go.go has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
