PS Thanks for that compliment. I don't think it's the most striking photo I took last week, mainly because I wasn't afforded the luxury of approaching this subject from the angle I wanted - about 50 metres to the right of where it was taken - because of other trees appearing in the background. There was a much more impressive hue to the sky from that vantage point but I sacrificed tonal range for sheer dramatic effect. I've heard that this is inexcusable in some countries. I think that's why so many human hands end up on the black market.
