Yet another smashing piece of work, Sash! Brilliant aperture for this image! I also liked the lighting to this picture! Your series of floral snaps have been elegant to say the least!

@Sriram: Thanks for that, Sriram. High praise indeed. :D
Wow what an original viewpoint to take this from. Makes it really 3 dimensional. I almost feel like the flower is giving me the finger! Very nice.

@Stu: Well, my aim prior to taking the photo was to capture exactly what you've described. I'm beside myself (thanks to the use of mirrors) that you've seen the finger extending your way. It was meant for you.
Originally, I was going to call this 'Up yours, whitie' but then I realised the title could be offensive to anyone without white skin, not to mention that it would disclude them from the offensive message I was planning.
OMG! Stu is quite the smartass, eh?!! And apparently as funny as you!! This is such an inventive presentation. The dof is perfect and I truly like that imaginary finger Stu pointed out. FABulous, Sash!!

@amy: Well, Stu and I go way back (issues with our spinal cords that enable freakish hyperextension). Also, he's Scottish, I'm Australian and never the humour shall encounter a road block. In short, he's a mate and I value his funny bone by the milligram.
PS I had a ripper of a time setting this up. I remember it clearly and thank the powers that be (Snoop Dog et al) that I used manual focus to get the back bits up front and the up front bits doing their best 3D impersonation.
I presume that you've used a similar technique here as you did with yesterday's shot. It's certainly worked out very well, and gives the image a lift.

@Andrew Gould: Nah, mate. There wasn't any flash used with this. It's purely lit up by nature's finest gift to living beings, solar radiation. The 'method' is a simple case of pressing the lens up against the flower - or as I prefer to call it 'pushing the dome'* - and manually focusing on the details you see (plus adjusting the contrast).
