@Daroru: Cheers mate. This isn't the sharpest photo I've ever taken but I only had limited time to get a few shots before the bird flew away. As it was in Japan, the winged beasts usually give onlookers armed with cameras four to five seconds prior to departure.
This reminds me of some of Shay Docking's drawings. Very nice.

@Bron: Thanks Bron. I'm not familiar with Shay's work but I'm a fan of bird life and water so it's probably up my alley. Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment. :)
Ooh. I love the stark simplicity of this one, Sash. Really graphic. Eeexzellent.

@Stu: Yep. This has been a tough image for me coz I love it so much, yet it's so crap in its original form (lack of light, wrong settings [oi woz still very much the novice back when this was taken], excessively grainy, pixelation).
This version has been revamped and smacked into line so that it's subtle yet striking. Thanks for the positive feedback mate. I wasn't sure whether the uber treatment would be a hit with the peeps. :)
Ok, gobsmacked am I!! This no more purist (me) thinks this is beyond words... ;-)

@amy: Shit, Amy! I didn't see this comment o' yours until now. I'm so happy that you like this as it's about the extent of my pp skills (although my pee-pee skills are a wee bit better). Thanks very much for the kind words here. :)
