I used to drive to the top of a mountain near where I worked so I'd get just one step closer to finding the true me ('Hi, how's it going and what's going on inside that head of yours?' I'd say expectantly to which lengthy bouts of silence would ensue). In every direction I faced, the golden silences and beauty all around eventually guided me to the place I was seeking.
Location: Shizuoka Prefecture (looking in the direction of Mt Fuji), Japan.
Help yourself to the blue cheese, but stay away from the green one.
Gorgeous image! Being on top of a mountain (or any high places), looking down at the view before always calms me down somehow - although I don't always get the answer that I seek, I could see things more clearly than before.

@Celialee: I'm totally with your there, Celialee. I assume you're teaching over in J, as was I when this photo was taken. My wife and I spent three years in J but I constantly felt the effects of culture shock, mainly during the middle of a term when everything seemed to be stagnating and emotions were spilling over. I was one of the fortunate ones able to drive off to a distant location during and after lunch where I could free my mind of the things that troubled me. This was one of my favourite places, and I went there during all four seasons. Sometimes I even got glimpses of Mt Fuji which counteracted any negative feelings.
Thanks so much for your comment. I'll be posting more images of my time in Japan so come back whenever you have time. :)

@C2 Studios: Thank you. You should definitely go to Japan one day. It's unique in so many ways.
Beautiful photo. This would make me quiet in my head, breath in and out and come to your true self in silence.
